What The Media Won't Tell You... And Why!

Most folks don't have the time to conduct research related to controversial issues. They get their information from the "official source" -- the media. What is it that people expect to learn from the media? The truth, of course. Since we are getting it from those who would like us to believe they are the "official truth-tellers," we are hearing, seeing, and believing it's the truth. Wrong!

"Wait a minute here, Don," I can hear you media people say. "I happen to work for the media. I work long, hard hours to bring informative, interesting, and honest reporting to my viewers / listeners / readers. Are you saying we're dishonest?"

Yes, in general, I'm saying the media is dishonest -- not because I believe it, but because I know it. In fact, I challenge anyone in the mainstream media to cite a time when you broadcast or published an expose on the honesty (or dishonesty) of the media. The information disseminated by the media is controlled by corporate interests. Admittedly, there are a few exceptions here. I present two familiar examples:

Lou Dobbs and Keith Olbermann are the first to come to mind. They each employ an unique writing style which focuses on stories others won't touch. After listening to the spin on CNN for an hour or two, "Lou Dobbs Tonight" is like changing the channel, or even moving to another planet. Dobbs consistently reports about current issues and honestly addresses his concerns (and ours) about the insane decisions made by our "representatives," the courts, and big business. It's a shame that his program lasts for only one hour. His field reporters must really enjoy the freedom his slot brings, as well, though it's apparent that the "front-office bosses" still hold the reins on what will or won't get out to the public.

Keith Olbermann's humorous, and sometimes irreverent style mixes a story content which is not dissimilar to that of Lou Dobbs, but also challenges other journalists to be straightforward in their reporting. I recall that earlier on in Olbermann's career, he seemed to question the sanity of a story by his trademark use of metaphor, irony, humor, and sarcasm. Today on MSNBC's "Countdown with Olbermann," he often engages himself in a 'dialogue' with those journalists I prefer to label "spin-meisters." It is no surprise to those who research any topic in depth, that Keith Olbermann seems to always come out in these "duels." His success is reflected in a ratings spike during his broadcast.

Before you accuse me of purposely omitting your favorite news anchor, journalist, or field reporter, let it suffice to say that there are others who honestly believe they are providing the public with a valuable service. They should be saluted, as well.

What troubles me, and should also trouble you, is that what is allowed to be reported to the masses is filtered. Not just filtered, even buried. Who ultimately makes these decisions? Obviously, those with the most money -- the mega-corporations; oil companies, pharmaceutical manufacturers (drug companies), the central banks, insurance / holding companies, food manufacturers, the automotive industry, retailers, and the government, to name a few.  As collective, conspiratorial decisions are made by the owners of these corporations, the media presents their "stories" in an "unbiased, " "fair-and-balanced" manner.

What is it that the media filters or buries? In the nutshell, the Truth -- the truth about everything. For example, the oil companies raise their prices, then we pay a higher price for their products. The media reports that oil prices have risen again, and then they report about how upset the consumers are. Does the media ever report that the "record profits" the oil companies enjoy is a direct result of their collusion in price-fixing? Not really. Honest reporting would demand they arrive at accountability, wouldn't it? It would be logical for the media to investigate and conclude who orchestrates the price increases, what is the real purpose (beyond greed) for the price increase, and what the oil companies plan to do to prevent it from happening again. Let's not be naive, here. Prices have historically risen in the oil industry, and have never been lowered over any substantial period of time.

To boot, both the media and the oil companies would be required to tell the truth about all the conspirators, which would inevitably lead us to other corporations and the government. Now, we wouldn't want that to happen, would we? The "War on Terror" is really the War on the American wallet.

Some other coverups the media are involved in areaa related to the pharmaceutical industry. Drug manufacturers account for more than 50% of all television, radio, and print advertising. These companies have every right to advertise -- after all, this is America. When it becomes known that a drug is unsafe, the media is usually the last to talk about it. They receive BIG advertising dollars from the drug companies, so they are not about to tell us about the dangers of using these products, until someone steps forward with a major lawsuit or wins a hefty settlement, in order to continue deceiving the general public.

What you don't know will hurt you. Ask anyone who works in the food industry or in the labs that research addictive food additives, contamination, and the effectts of steroids, antibiotics, irradiation, and genetic hybridization of food sources. A personal acquaintance of mine works in such a lab. He refuses to permit his son to eat food prepared at a certain fast-food restaurant because of the contaminants he finds in food samples tested on a daily basis. According to my friend, most fast-food restaurants and food manufacturers modify their foods in order to increase consumption.

Those readers who are animal lovers and have household pets or farm animals will be shocked to learn that when your vet euthanizes your pet, the animal often ends up in the rendering plants where dog food, cat food, and other "pet supplies" are manufactured. As a result, your pet unknowingly consumes dead animal flesh, waste, fur, feathers, poisons, disease, drugs, medications, and basically, the original cause of its demise. The obvious solution: holistic pet food. Does the media report this travesty? Not on your life -- or your pet's. It would be catastrophic for this information to reach the general populace.

Need I remind you of what causes Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD), better known as Mad Cow Disease? The media prefers the more colloquial version for several reasons. A mad cow is either "angry" or "insane," and certainly "no threat" to those who eat beef. However, if the truth were told about the disease, it would be described as a condition in which the animal's nervous system begins to degenerate, to the point where the animal can no longer stand up straight, without falling. What about those animals whose disease goes undetected and becomes part of the human / animal food chain? The disease is spread through the same "rendering" process described in the above paragraph, through animal feed. In the end, lots of drugs are sold. We have yet to receive any "official" word regarding the impact on dairy products, but I predict we will eventually discover that pasteurization and homogenization do not prevent the disease from spreading to humans. These "purification" processes also eliminate most nutrients.

The nonsense we are spoon fed by the medical community includes many communicable diseases carried by humans. It took years for the truth about HIV and AIDS to surface, when it was disclosed that the disease was created in a laboratory. Many still believe the disease began from "sexual contact with a green monkey." I wonder who was so brave as to admit they had sex with a green monkey! Eventually, it was blamed on the homosexual community and intravenous drug use (dirty needles). Evidently, green monkeys are not only homosexual -- they use heroin and crack cocaine, as well. The systematic use of smallpox and other vaccines laced with the virus, then given to unsuspecting recipients in Africa, was concealed by the World Health Organization for years. The media still refuses to investigate this story, for fear of embarrassing their mountebanks.

More recently, it has been revealed that the AIDS virus is suspected to have been transmitted to a human by a mosquito. We are told that AIDS is transmitted through bodily fluids, which is how most victims contract the disease. The late Arthur Ashe (of professional tennis fame) died after contracting AIDS as a result of a blood transfusion. Now, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that a mosquito that bites a person with HIV or full-blown AIDS may actually infect another person with its next bite. Mosquitoes, after feeding on the blood of humans, secrete saliva to assist them in removing their "tools" from beneath the victim's skin. I remember predicting such an outcome in 1987. We must also consider the possibility that the mosquito first contracted AIDS from the "green monkey," too. That theory is shattered with the knowledge that the bloodsucking mosquitoes are females!

We are currently witnessing a similar scenario involving the "Avian Flu, " or H51N. I suspect this disease was also created in a laboratory. Its ultimate goal -- population control.

When we examine the goings-on of the food manufacturers and their cohorts in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and bio research industries, we see evidence of a concerted effort to poison us and create all manner of "diseases" which will require surgeries and more drugs. This practice is more prevalent in developed countries where people can actually afford "treatment." What we are not told is that the plan is geared toward the slow, methodical extermination of some 3 billion people, while squeezing every last dime from their pockets in the process. This plan is aided with the full knowledge of the FDA and the CDC. Have you noticed how many "diseases" have sprung forth in recent years? All drugs (medicines) are toxins and cause side effects. Of course, they have more drugs for the side effects, too. Listen to their commercials! The phrase, "Talk to your doctor" is intended to skirt the practicing-medicine-without-a-license laws.

Aspartame, an "artificial sweetener," was designed as rat poison. It kills rodents by causing a complete breakdown of their nervous system and is equally effective in eliminating ant colonies from your home and yard.  People consume aspartame in diet soft drinks, candy, and chewing gum, to name a few products. Aspartame is touted as a solution to the pitfalls of white sugar, which is stored by the body as fat when one's carbohydrate consumption reaches a certain threshold. Does the media care to report how these food manufacturers are methodically murdering their faithful, but ignorant customers? No, not when they are paid to suppress the information while advertising these products. As long as they refuse to expose these types of scandals, the cash keeps coming.

Is it any wonder, when the mainstream media refuse to report honestly about a variety of issues affecting us as individuals, that they continue the practice when dealing with the collective populace? When did we begin relying on the media to tell us what was really going on in the world? Were we brainwashed into believing they were telling us the truth? I remember a time when the three TV networks required one and one-half hours to present the news on the "network feeds." I suspect this was the initial dose of "conditioning" as television was developed as a new information medium.

With innovations in cable and satellite television, the market became more competitive, and the major networks decided they had to diversify their programming in order to acquire their target-market shares in the ratings. Higher ratings translates into higher fees for advertising. Higher fees mean higher profits. The competitive nature of the television broadcasting brought with it the concept of sensationalism, and thus, fiction. Before too long, fiction found its place in the news, as well. Rarely does a newscast go by without a review of a theatrical movie, an interview with an actor, or a misrepresentation (propaganda) of a news event. News anchors and reporters are also members of SAG, the Screen Actors Guild. I thought they were just "journalists."

Why would anyone fabricate or omit facts about a news item? The answer is quite simple: To prevent us from knowing the truth. Why shouldn't we know the truth, especially from those who report "honestly, fairly -- about the things that affect our daily lives?"

Frankly, to report the truth about a variety of issues would expose corruption in business and government. People would begin to figure out what has been going on all along. Since we are preconditioned to believe we're being told the truth at all times, to actually begin to report the truth belies the concept of "programming."

Television programs are carefully choreographed (directed) to produce the above-mentioned results -- predictable results. That's why they are called programs. When a television program is unsuccessful, it is "canned" and replaced with another which will, hopefully, regain lost viewership and produce greater sales for advertisers. Television networks are loyal to their advertisers, and not necessarily to their viewers.

Television broadcasters often change their programming to regain lost revenues and often resort to covert methods of a psychological origin. Programs are "scripted" around themes designed to hold the viewer's attention long enough to view the commercials -- the source of most of the network's revenues. Subliminal themes and special effects are used in many programs and movies which become part of the regular "programming." Though subliminal advertising is illegal, the use special effects hidden within the video or audio content of a commercial or program is quite possible, if not a certainty.

Network affiliates in TV and radio earn their money by leasing the airtime to their flagship station in the larger market cities. Affiliates exert no direct control over the source of the programming, which is why "national" and "international" news broadcasts seem to be grand events -- larger numbers of viewers are witnessing the same events at the same time. The networks fully understand the power of  collective thought processes and take advantage of the larger viewership to promote a specific belief. This explains why news information, political ads, and infomercials are so effective -- through repetition and other subconcsious means, the collective consciousness of the viewers is "programmed." This process can also be called "mind control."

Those familiar with computer programs know that a program is proprietary and is expected to perform a variety of tasks with reliability and predictability. When the program fails, it is modified, usually through an "update." The update is then expected to add the reliability which was previously lacking. Program malfunctions are threatening and can cause the loss of valuable data and equipment. Computer manufacturers and software developers work together to eliminate these threats. Their financial success depends upon the program's reliability in performing the intended tasks.

When attending a musical concert, play, or some other artistic event, the audience is often given a "program" -- a visual representation of what they can expect to transpire, usually in booklet form or on a single sheet of paper. This type of program is totally informative, and therefore, non-threatening. The program can be changed without people becoming upset about it. Unforeseen changes in this type of program are usually explained to the audience during the performance as a standard courtesy.

The above descriptions of programs and programming are but a few of the methods which we could consider, and clearly demonstrate that a program itself poses no particular threat to an individual or a society. We should be able to discern the intended use of a program. Without discernment, we fall into the trap of the belief system.

It is my opinion that media programming poses the greatest threat to one's sovereignty over his or her thought processes. Print media is most dangerous to those who respond to information through visualization. The reader visualizes everything anyway, so information is assimilated and digested according to the reader's belief system. Newspapers and magazines are powerful mediums for reinforcing belief systems. "I read it in the newspaper or such-and-such magazine, therefore it must be true."

Radio broadcasts employ many of the same methods found in the TV industry. Those who are auditory in their mental syntax find radio as appealing as TV, and sometimes more. Because radio broadcasts use no images found in other types of media, programs rely upon word pictures and special effects which enhance the audio content. Radio commercials use special effects and music to create artificial ambience, an unrealistic presentation of otherwise boring sound. Because the listener responds to auditory information, the programming is accepted, more or less, with what the listener already knows to be true. There are exceptions, but in general, this is what makes radio programming work. The 1938 radio broadcast of "War of the Worlds" is a prime example of a radio program's ability to affect its listening audience.

The author has worked in television, radio, and print media (and still does). I am not saying that all media outlets use these methods, though the majority do. Many of us recognize that we are not getting all of the truth about world events, national events, and local events. Many issues relate to health, employment, and economics are being spun to further covert agendas. In some cases, we are not getting any of the truth. I have pointed out, in prior writings, the inconsistencies between political statements made to the public via the media and how promises are broken, as if they had never been made. Many are angered by the intentional use of propaganda. Such indignation is not indicative of a "free and open society." The mainstream media has been historically complicit in the dissemination of propaganda. I suspect we can anticipate more of the same.

Currently, we notice a shifting of themes in news reporting. Have you noticed how the conflict between Israel and Lebanon have saturated the airwaves during three consecutive weeks? This technique is being used to divert attention from stories which will eventually have devastating consequences for those involved. One story being covered up has the power to change the economic future of America and the world forever. It has taken a "war" and another "terrorist threat" to keep the public from learning about this story. I will be writing about this story in a future article.

As we search for the Truth, we must bear in mind that we live in an economic world. The greatest power is given to those with the most money, even though money is just a symbolic representation of power. Power itself poses no danger. It is the misuse of power that is dangerous to those who willingly, or unknowingly, give away their power to others. It is time for us to stop believing... and start knowing.

"The Edge's" Prophetic Corner

Article II, August 7, 2006 // Predictions for A Long Fall......

Predictions for A Long Fall......

I have noticed that an increasingly larger number of people sense that something is not quite right with the world, and that things have been so for the past few years. When I ask them what they feel is wrong, they respond with complaints about the "job" situation in America, the politicians who are "recklessly abandoning our Civil Rights," and the "strange weather patterns, storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and mysterious diseases" that plague their daily lives. Let us not forget about "terrorism."

I am often asked for my opinion as to what is really going on here, and it may surprise you, the reader, as to what I have to say about these topics. However, rather than speculate on what might be happening, I prefer to look at what is occurring, based upon the current historical record.

In 1994, the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) was passed, creating the world's "largest free-trade zone." What occurred after this corporate coup d'etat is worth revisiting. Most of the major manufacturers began moving their operations to Mexico, where labor was cheap -- not just cheaper -- but really cheap. The net result:  an increase in consumer prices, coupled with lower production costs, which resulted in greater profits for these corporations. Let's not forget about the tax incentives these corporations received as an additional benefit.

While this restructuring of the American corporate landscape was taking place, many workers found themselves to be confronted with early retirement, a drastic career change, or unemployment. However, the impact that NAFTA had on the average American worker was not felt until a few years later, when illegal immigration became a serious issue on the local and state levels. NAFTA had been touted to be the cure-all for the United States economy, and nothing was further from the truth. The economy, despite well-orchestrated media proclamations, was really heading in a downward spiral. As the corporations that fled to greener pastures became richer, the disparity of wealth between upper and middle-class workers was growing. Our representatives on the state and federal levels did little to fix the problem. New legislation seemed to exacerbate the situation.

To make matters worse, new legislation after the "attacks" on 9/11 treated all Americans as potential criminals. It seemed almost too convenient that suddenly, it mattered how much money you deposited into or withdrew from your personal bank account. We Americans instantly had become potential terrorist "financiers." To voice a dissenting opinion on such matters tends to label one as "unpatriotic," or an "agitator." Unfortunately, "all men are created equal" does not permit us to demand equal disclosure by those who craft and then pass these intrusive laws. How many of us would care to know how much our representatives pad their pockets and their bank accounts? Looking back, it is quite obvious that the reasons had nothing to do with "terrorism," and everything to do with the establishment of a one-world government.

What NAFTA failed to describe was this scenario: "We're going to take away your American jobs and give them to the citizens of another country. Of course, we won't pay them as much money for doing the same work, either. In fact, there won't be enough jobs to satisfy the unemployed in these countries, so we'll be sending them here to do the 'jobs that Americans won't do.' Technically, these transient workers, who have been systematically aided in sneaking through guarded border crossings, rivers, mountains, fences, and walls won't be Americans. But we will give them free schooling for their children, free housing, free health care, free legal representation, and our Social Security benefits. Politicians are ready to assist them in times of distress, should they be 'caught.' If their children are born in America, they will automatically become citizens. The American taxpayers will foot the bill, not the corporations who benefit from this arrangement. These 'guest workers' will also be bringing along their diseases and their crime statistics. You will see the rise in murders, sexual assaults, robberies, and lawsuits directly related to your attempts to assert your Constitutional Right to protect your property and your family."

So far, this has been the reality of NAFTA.

"We expect, after a few years, that some of you will become 'disgruntled' with the system we so ingeniously devised for ourselves. We have planned a series of events to take care of that problem when it arises. You will see the first such event when we feel that it is time for us to hoodwink you once again. The event will be so tragic, so unimaginable, and so demonic that it will be blamed on those you fear the most -- the terrorists. We will let you know who these terrorists are and what they plan to do in the future. We will hunt them down, destroy their countries, and pay ourselves and our cohorts to rebuild what we have destroyed. It will ultimately be  your  responsibility as Americans, for it is your duty to trust that your government will do what is in your best interests. After all, we are merely being the 'protectors' you elected us to be."

"Some will charge that we will have had something to do with this horrible event. Others will be envious of the stock transactions that will earn millions, if not billions of dollars, before and after this event will have occurred. By now, you will have forgotten about NAFTA and will be enthralled with our new-found plans for revenge. You will join with us in our desire to capture or kill those 'responsible' for the attacks on our nation. Since we know what is good for the country, we will tell you who the 'terrorists' are, and you dare not disagree with our conclusions. Never mind that we will have met with Tim Osman (aka Osama Bin Laden) at the Hilton Inn in Sherman Oaks, California, long before this event which was designed to topple the world's financial center within a matter of an hour or so. It was never intended for you to know that Al-Qaida will have received cash, Stinger missles, red mercury, and computer software from the government via agents of the CIA and FBI. Never mind that at least seven, and maybe as many as nine, of the so-called hijackers will be found alive and well in Saudi Arabia and Tunisia, while their pictures are plastered on the front page of every magazine, newspaper, and TV news broadcast in the world. Never mind that their names will not be included in the passenger manifests for the flights they supposedly will have hijacked. Few people will notice the video footage of their president in a Florida classroom, holding a book upside-down, as he 'reads' along with the students, moments after being advised of the attacks."

"A coverup of these and other details will be assured through the bribery of mainstream media journalists, their editors, directors, and producers. These media giants are owned by a handful of larger corporations that, coincidentally, are involved in all sorts of secret, black-ops projects which are protected under the guise of 'national security.'  The funding for non-disclosure by this same media will be derived from embezzled, government funds which are mainly stolen from Ambassador Leo E. Wanta's AmeriTrust Groupe, Inc. It was never  intended for you, the American people, to know that Ambassador Wanta, at the direction of President Ronald Reagan, almost single-handedly caused the economic destruction of the former Soviet Union through a series of currency transactions -- long before NAFTA. Wanta's plan eventually netted some $27.5 trillion (accrued to $70 trillion) which he planned to return to the U.S. Treasury. After all, the $150 billion startup capital came from U.S. Treasury funds -- American tax dollars. Until 2006, we illegally squandered trillions from this trust. With the continuing cooperation of the media, you will never hear the truth about this financial crime."

"If we have things our way, the American people will not learn of a second, secret meeting with a Bin Laden 'lieutenant, ' Datu Ben Abu, at a hotel in Manila, Philippines, less than two months after the above-referenced 'terrorist' attacks on New York, the Pentagon, and a field in southwestern Pennsylvania. They will not know of Ambassador Wanta's letter to Vice-President Dick Cheney, in which he will describe 'large amounts of cash' being taken by everyone involved. Further details of terrorist funding and arms supplies will escape the headlines again. This meeting will be analyzed in writing by the NSA Director, Condoleeza Rice, where she will identify one participant in 'a wheel chair' as Datu Ben Abu, along with a 'Dr. Navarro' and a 'Madame Teleki'. The people will wonder if this is Ilona Teleki, from the secretive, Washington, D.C. think tank, Project for A New American Century."

"In order to further obscure our true intentions, we will rally the American people to support no fewer than two wars in the Middle East. After driving Bin Laden and the Taliban out of Afghanistan, we will revive the cultivation of the poppy fields. Eventually, we will increase opium production by 500%. The profits from this 'war for drugs' will find their way to the Department of Defense. When we determine that Saddam Hussein harbored the terrorists and was seeking to obtain fissionable materials for building a nuclear weapon, we will have justified our reason for starting a second war in Iraq. We will fund the war using our proceeds from the 'war on drugs' and the Wanta funds. Congress and the U.N. will benefit from these funds, as well. As we destroy these countries, we will rebuild them by giving no-bid contracts to our favorite corporations. By this means, we are guaranteed a constant flow of cash. Since we will control the petroleum assets in these countries, our friends and relatives will profit from price increases in the overseas markets, once these assets become privatized. The people will not know of our intention to raise the price of one gallon of gasoline, to $5.00 by 2008. Such is the price of establishing a new 'democracy."

"To continue controlling future oil markets, we will park the barges and oil tankers in the Gulf of Mexico, thus creating a series of false supply-and-demand 'emergencies' which will drive prices even higherl. If we do this slowly and methodically, the people will not notice the poisons we put in their water and their foods. Simultaneously, we will spray toxins and all manner of diseases in the skies. As we spread fear and panic through the populace, we can offer vaccines and pills, laced with more toxins. Should the populace refuse these 'safeguards' against pandemics, we will discourage dissension through a variety of proven methods. 'Re-education' will be the new buzz-word in dealing with political and social deviants. Imprisonment, electronic harassment, torture, mind control, and execution will be the accepted standard for obtaining compliance."

"As more and more citizens default on mortgage payments, we will confiscate their properties, and methodically eliminate the middle class. Eventually, each citizen will become the property of the 'State.' Such will be the reality of our New World Order."

"Many will consider themselves fortunate just to have food in their stomach. The only edible foods will be obtained from the new government. Each individual will be implanted with a tracking device designed to provide us with any information we require. There will be no escape from this system, which is well underway at this time. Military personnel from one geographic region will be assigned to police citizens in another region, in order to guarantee compliance. Our most advanced technologies await any anticipated uprising from the population. These technologies were ready for deployment long before NAFTA was drafted as an agreement."

"Also at our disposal are various technologies we have developed from the inventions of Nicola Tesla and other great scientific geniuses.

Some suspect that the HAARP technology located in Alaska and elsewhere will be used to create anomalous events on a worldwide scale.  What most do not know is that this technology has already been used extensively to alter the atmosphere, thus producing unusual weather patterns, violent storms, earthquakes, and other 'natural' disasters. Our expertise in multi-dimensional technologies extends further into distant regions of outer space. Long ago, we mastered interplanetary travel and advanced weapons systems. We still hold a few more surprises in abeyance, until we are prepared to make our final move."

"Naturally, you cannot blame us for hiding a few secrets, can you? If you, as a people, really understood the power of prayer and your true relationship to God and the Universe, we would never succeed in this ambitious venture. We continue to rely on these methods of control and deceit that have worked so efficiently -- so perfectly -- for thousands of years. This is our strength."

"Our trust in the dark forces, the magic of numbers, and secret, Satanic rituals assures us our victory. We have nearly arrived at our final destination. To give up on our plan now would mean certain defeat."

"If we hold any doubt about your ability to extricate yourselves from this fatal web of deceit, it is in the remote possibility that enough of you will wake up before we've made our final move. Your discovery of our treacherous deeds throughout history would certainly signify our end. That is what we call 'the long fall ' - the remote chance that we could fall from our lofty thrones. We certainly have time on our side, though, or do we?"

All we have is the Truth -- and our God. And He awaits our decision. I know the Lord never fails to keep His promises.

The Power of Belief vs. The Power of Knowledge

As I begin this first communication to "The Edge AM's" listening audience, many issues come to mind. Consider thisto be an introduction to understanding the mechanics of the 3-D world in which we live, and how those mechanics areprocessed by our physical, mental, and spiritual bodies. A serious and complete study of metaphysics could easilyspan one's lifetime, so I will begin by primarily examining the concepts which are easily grasped by the average person.

We can all find someone to agree with us - and just as easily, to disagree. Such is the nature of life on planet Earth. Itmatters not whether we use our five physical senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste, or our other "ethereal"

senses: thought, reason, anticipation, anxiety, fear, intuition, and spiritual discernment. Ethereal senses are thosewhich manifest and interact with both the physical and spiritual realms of consciousness. Fear is always dispelled byknowledge. We fear what we do not understand. "Thoughts are things," so we can think ourselves into a particularphysical reality. When we discern spirit, we transcend the self-imposed limits of our physical and mental bodies. "Waita minute," I can hear some of you shouting. "These "ethereal" senses are not something we learned about in school.

How do I know that this isn't just a bunch of ..........."

Belief? Belief is an acceptance that something is true or generally accepted as true. In a religious context, belief is aconviction based upon faith and trust. We 'believe' in God, therefore God is real. As 'believers,' our faith and trust tellus so. An atheist, employs the same technique in denying the existence of God, and so, is essentially a 'believer'through his or her disbelief. However, when we apply the same concept to other areas of our life, through ourcompliance with the worldly agendas that beset us daily, we experience a 'disconnect' or 'severing' of our connectionto God and the Universe He has created for us and all living things - our creativity. 'Believing' becomes our reality.

How do I know this? I know this by understanding the role belief plays in the media, education, religion, science, technology (the development and application of science), entertainment, medicine, economics, politics, sociology, psychology, metaphysics, and the arts. All of the aforementioned topics employ "knowledge," when applied in its purest sense. Knowledge is everywhere and was never intended to be hidden from us. Knowledge is truth. Knowledgeis power. Knowledge is light. Knowledge is gained through experience and education, and it can even be acquiredthrough supernatural means. However, when knowledge is disseminated through the concept and principles of belief, it becomes weakened or obscured by the limiting power that belief imposes upon it. Belief tends to dilute knowledge.

Belief, in many instances, contracts knowledge. Knowledge is absolute - a certainty, and no amount of belief ordisbelief changes that fact.

In America, we learn from childhood that we live in "the Land of the Free." Most of us believe that, don't we? Whenyou look at our freedom through the microscope of spiritual discernment, that belief seems to have becomediminished. I ask, "Free from what? Free from whom?" Our borders are left wide-open while we fight a "war on terror."

Our society has been invaded by aliens (foreigners) who can obtain free healthcare, free schooling, free legalrepresentation........free, free, free! Is this the land of the free? Belief has one thing to say about this issue, but knowledge says quite a bit more. Our knowledge of these issues speaks volumes when compared to our beliefs.

When our government - our elected "protectors"- tell us that "such and such" is good for the economy or that"Americans won't do these jobs," we experience the power of the belief system, which is designed to require us tocomply and accept, without question, that 'what we are told to believe' finds its source in experience, wisdom, andtruth. Those of us with knowledge know that this is not an accurate assessment of this issue - a distortion - amisrepresentation - or even a lie. We certainly cannot perform the jobs that have left our country so that huge, corporate profits can be acquired through cheap labor. And we cannot perform jobs that are geographically restricting.

What you personally believe about this issue has no bearing until you take action, based upon your knowledge about the issue. Solutions are not born out of belief, but through knowledge.

The media plays a major role in reinforcing the belief system. Repetition is the media's tool in seducing us intoemptying our wallets, our bank accounts, and in coercing us to relinquish our sovereignty. We are told "secrets" and"revelations" by the media - secrets involving crime, disasters, success, health, misfortunes, personal appearance, sexuality, political scandals, and the ultimate destruction of our planet, to name a few. As if these scenarios requiredexternal reenforcement to support the belief system, the media passes the baton to the movie industry, whereproducers, directors, and actors continue the relentless attack upon our morals, our psyches, and our spiritual values.

Yet, while all this fantasy and disinformation is readily digested by the masses, knowledge has a different story to tell.

Entertainment has been ingeniously designed to be an artificial replacement for the true arts. Instead of offering legitimate musical concerts which feature the best performers, we are reduced to glorified karaoke contests which exhort us to select our next idols. Historical art has been reduced to cartoons and situation comedies that insult our intelligence, while trying to secretly "pick our pockets" of our hard-earned dollars. While we are seduced by "feel-good" and "reality" programming, we are slowly, secretly, and maliciously assailed in preparation for things to come - the web of deceit.

Examine the media during your favorite television news broadcast - this is a simple test. Take a blank piece of paperand draw a line down the middle, creating two columns. Label one column "Positive" and the other "Negative." Now, listen to each story and determine if it is positive or negative in nature, and then place an "X" in the appropriatecolumn. You will soon see that most news broadcasts are predominately negative in nature. You can assume thatyour psyche will attract this negative energy (belief), and that your body and mind will eventually develop theappropriate malaise.

Don't worry, though. Help is on the way. The commercials which are ingeniously dispersed throughout the broadcast, replete with visual images, hi-fidelity music and sound effects, and a polished, influential, professional narration willguide you to your temporary relief. You will be instructed, admonished, and even cajoled into buying the variousremedies to your ills. Don't worry about the "side effects," because they have cures for those, too. If you find yourselfin the above-described predicament, then you've bought the belief system.

By now, you may be asking yourself, "I know that this is going on, but what does this have to do with knowledge?" Everything.... and nothing. To have this knowledge, but to not act upon it is ignorance. It's all about the money - yourmoney becoming their money. That's all it is. As long as the media controls you, the listener, they control the money.

Then the media becomes a valuable tool for the government. The government can employ the same advertisingagencies to produce "believable" information. This information, which can be deceptive in nature - the opposite of truth can then be used to control a myriad of behaviors and beliefs. Whose behaviors and beliefs? Yours. Basic spiritual discernment will demonstrate that mind-control techniques are not designed to bring forth knowledge,

but to control belief systems. Recognizing these techniques is the first step toward liberating yourself from theirdeceptive grip. Liberation is freedom - true freedom. Have you ever told anyone, "Do you know, I'm kind of stupid...kind of ignorant. Take away my freedom, my sovereignty, and the choices that God gave me. I don't really care whatyou require or force me to do. I have no thoughts, no feelings, no intentions. I'm just taking up my share of time andspace on this planet, and I really don't have a purpose for being here."??? Of course, you haven't!

Why do we act as though this were true? I submit that our physical, mental, and spiritual imprisonment was permittedby us. We are to blame. The relinquishment of our God-given rights has been transmuted into a "requirement" for survival on the planet. We, as a people, are responsible for allowing this to happen. Until we wake up to this fact, belief will reign over knowledge.

If we here at "The Edge" are seekers of truth, then we must seek knowledge. Knowledge is truth - truth is knowledge.
